Researchers Hook a 12 Foot Tiger Shark Near Port Aransas – [Photos]

Researchers had quite the catch when they hooked a 12' tiger shark near Port Aransas this week!

The 12' tiger shark was caught for tagging purposes and was then released this week by the lab crew of the Center for Sportfish Science and Conservation at Harte Research Institute.

I also caught a monster shark while fishing in the Gulf.

Ok, maybe it wasn't a 12' tiger shark, but it sure fought like one!
