Rapper Tone Loc was detained by Midland Police at the airport because of a teenager wearing a confederate hat.

According to CBS 7, new video of the confrontation shows the rapper, who goes by the legal name Anthony Terrell Smith, saw a teenage boy wearing a confederate hat and confronted him.

The video shows him getting into an argument with the parents of the boy who said that he has the right to wear whatever he wants.

Security agents rushed to the scene and handcuffed and detained Tone Loc, but did not place him under arrest.

Witnesses said Tone Loc and the family he was confronting decided to go their separate ways and the rapper was released without further incident.

If you are a child of the late 80's, then you know Tone Loc for his hits "Wild Thing" and "Funky Cold Medina," both songs hitting the top 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 back in 1989.
