Following Mark Salling's death, prosecutors are reportedly pushing to dismiss his child pornography case, according to TMZ.

The news comes one week after the actor, who played Noah "Puck" Puckerman on Glee from 2009 to 2015, was found hanging from a tree in what law enforcements told the outlet was an apparent suicide. He had been awaiting sentencing for possession of child pornography after pleading guilty back in December, and was expected to serve between four and seven years as part of a plea agreement, followed by registry as a sex offender and 20 years of supervised release.

Salling was initially arrested on the charges in 2015, after federal investigators said they found more than 25,000 images and 600 videos of underage children Saling's computers, external USB and hard drive. Earlier that year, he settled a lawsuit with his ex-girlfriend Roxanne Gorzela, who accused him of sexual battery and assault in January 2013, claiming he had unprotected sex with her despite her insistence he wear a condom. He also faced allegations of sexually assaulting a 22-year-old woman in 2016, but the case was dismissed due to an apparent statute of limitations.
