Seth Rogen Takes ‘Preacher’ to New Orleans in New Season 2 Featurette
AMC’s Preacher will finally become the road-faring series it was destined to become in Season 2, and that means new locations. Co-creators Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are also back behind the camera, as a new featurette explores the comic drama’s trip to New Orleans.
Apart from sequences out on the open road (plenty of explosions and head-squishing gore there), a new Preacher Season 2 featurette explores some of series’ New Orleans locales. Stars Dominic Cooper, Ruth Negga and Joseph Gilgun also dish on Rogen and Goldberg’s directing return, as the pair preview a more unique action style in Season 2.
Set for a Sunday, June 25 premiere, so reads the Preacher Season 2 synopsis:
The expanded second season, consisting of 13 episodes, is a genre-bending thrill ride that follows West Texas preacher Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), his badass ex-girlfriend Tulip (Academy Award nominee Ruth Negga) and an Irish vampire named Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun) as they embark on a road trip to find God and are thrust into a twisted battle spanning Heaven, Hell and everywhere in between.
Joining the cast of Preacher Season 2 in unidentified roles are Game of Thrones alum Noah Taylor, Star Wars: The Force Awakens star Pip Torrens, and Fargo alum Julie Ann Emery as series regulars. Recurring roles will include Timeless star Malcolm Barrett, Homeland alum Ronald Guttman, and Justin Prentice.
