Permian Basin Restaurant Week Returns After a Year Off Because of COVID-19

With things returning this year after being canceled last year, that means the Permian Basin Restaurant Week will return this year to help raise funds for the West Texas Food Bank.

According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, this is the third annual event and will take place at ten area restaurants from September 20-24, 2021.

Each restaurant will present a special menu and 20% of the proceeds will be donated to the West Texas Food Bank.

The restaurants involved in this year's event are: The Garlic Press, Opal’s Table, Forty Two, Venezia Restaurant, Butter, Librado, Barrel and Derrick located at the downtown Odessa Marriott, Flair Taverna, The Legendary Barn Door Steakhouse, and Forty One Ten.

The special menus will be announced soon on the Permian Basin Restaurant Week Facebook page and will be priced at $35-$45.

Remember 20% of the proceeds raised will go to the West Texas Food Bank and help feed needy families in the area.

The West Texas Food Bank serves 19 counties in the West Texas area covering 34,000 square miles of Texas including the two largest counties in the state, Brewster and Pecos Counties. They have distributed 11 million pounds of food across those counties with over 4,000 volunteers donating over 20,000 hours to help out the hungry in the area.

The West Texas Food Bank is celebrating 35 years of service to the 19 county area, so make sure you help them help others by participating in Permian Basin Restaurant Week, September 20-24, 2021.
