Odessa’s Medical Center Hospital Re-purposing An Additional Floor For Spike in COVID-19 Cases

With the spike in COVID-19 cases over the past few weeks, MCH is re-purposing an additional floor for new cases.

According to NewsWest 9, the new floor is opened as of today (July 2, 2020) to allow the hospital to use an additional 28 beds.

MCH reported that as of Wednesday July 1, 2020, they had 32 COVID-19 patients, 10 of those in critical care and 3 on ventilators.

MCH will re-evaluate the situation in a week to see if they need to make anymore changes.
