Odessa Residents Being Targeted By Scam Artists For Storm Repairs

The city of Odessa is warning residents about scam artists coming into town to do "repairs" on damage from recent storms.

According to NewsWest 9, the city is telling Odessa residents if anyone knocks on their door about the repairs for residents to look for their Peddlers Permit and ID that the city makes all door to door sales people get.

City of Odessa officials say the door to door sales people can only visit homes between 8am and 8pm.

If you are suspicious or do not get proper identification from a door to door repair vendor, immediately call police.
