Rent may be high in the Permian Basin, but one apartment complex is helping out parents with their school supply lists to help ease the burden.

According to NewsWest 9, Summertree Apartments in Odessa sent an email to their residents asking them for their children's school supplies lists.

The complex told residents they would buy everything on the lists at no cost to the residents.

"That is the best part, I know going back to school is stressful," said James Epps, Summertree Apartments property manager, "I remember all those times when it was time to go back to school shopping for the new clothes and all this stuff and we were just looking for a way that we could take a little bit of that stress off our parents."

Weidner Apartment Homes, the company that owns Summertree, is doing the same thing statewide to help ease the pressure of beginning a new school year for it's residents.
