New Costco Could Be Coming to Midland/Odessa

Rumors have spread about a Costco coming to the Permian Basin, here is what we know.

According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, Midland City Council approved a proposal for a 30+ acre plot of land located at the northwest corner of the intersection of State Highway 158 and State Highway 191 in west Midland for a shopping center with the developer listed as "Costco Wholesale."

That will mean improvements to State Highway 158 to accommodate the traffic that will increase because of the wholesale retailer.

The time table as to when construction would begin or finish will be available in the near future.
