Nature Photographers Using Robots For Dangerous Close-Ups
This is not how Marlin Perkins did it, but it's still amazing to see how photographers are getting close to dangerous game.

The featured video is from Chris Bray, who got up close and personal, via robot to an African lion. He used a GoPro camera mounted on the frame of a remote-controlled toy car to maneuver and to get closer than would be safe to do normally. The result is a view only wildebeests and other creatures unfortunate enough to get caught by a lion have seen.

As Chris is filming, the lion decides to take a closer look at the gadget, grabs it in its mouth and carries it away to investigate further. Ommm, Nommn, Nommm.
The lion loses interest with the not-very-tasty camera rig and Chris is able to retrieve it without much damage.
