The Museum of the Southwest is doing their part to help out during this COVID-19 crisis by printing supplies for local medical workers.

According to NewsWest 9, they are using their 3D printer to develop a prototype ventilator to help out with hospitals in the Permian Basin.

"We're 3D printing a prototype of a splitter to be used with oxygen tanks to be able to split them off and then have multiple people connected to one tank," said Valerie Rodriguez who is in charge of the project.

The new design is still in the testing phase but once perfected they will print as many as needed for local medical workers to use.
