The Midland police department has started a new campaign to remind you to secure your vehicle called, 'Lock It or Lose It!'.

There were around 700 auto burglaries reported last year in Midland. In 2015 that number his jumped to over 900.

The Midland Police Department urges you to use caution when leaving your vehicle unattended. Make sure to hide all valuables from view and lock your vehicle.

There're over 200 car stolen in Midland last year, 55 of those because people left their keys in the car. Don't become a statistic; lock it or lose it!
