October may be 'Breast Cancer Awareness Month', but cancer doesn't care what month it is; that's why it's important for women to take advantage of the screenings offered during their 'Mother Appreciation Week at MMH.

• One in 8 women are diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime.
• More than 2.8 million women with a personal history of breast cancer (2013)
• Early detection is very important to treatment
