ERCOT, the Electric Reliability Council of Texas, has approved a new transmission line to make electricity available in more areas of West Texas.

According to NewsWest 9, the new transmission line that has just been approved will include two new 345KV lines which will help with future reliability concerns.

Oncor, AEPSC, and the Lower Colorado River Authority Transmission Services Corporation will be in charge of building the new transmission lines.

ERCOT says the project will be completed in 4-5 years after approval by the Public Utility Commission of Texas.
