The "Save Lee Rebels" group has filed a lawsuit to have five board members removed because of "incompetency."

According to NewsWest 9, the five members requesting to be removed by the lawsuit are James Fuller, Rick Davis, Robert Marquez, John Trischitti, and John Kennedy.

Besides the name change, the petitioners believe the board members have shown incompetence in many cases.

"We've got problems everywhere," said Carrie McNeil, one of the petitioners filing the lawsuit. "If you look at the past year from the bond election, golf course purchases, apartment purchases, renovation purchases, COVID, we have a lot of issues, and a lot of people are concerned."

The judge will also look at possible inaccurate votes for the last school bond election.

How long this process is going to take is unknown at this time.
