Million Dollar Unclaimed Ticket Bought in Austin Expires Wednesday

A million dollar Mega Millions ticket expires on Wednesday (May 30, 2018) and has still not been claimed.

According to NewsWest 9, The ticket was a Quick Pick purchased on December 1, 2017 from a Valero Corner Store in Austin and matched five of the six numbers drawn.

The winning numbers drawn were 16-22-40-41-59 and Mega Ball 8.

The ticket holder's prize is forfeited after the 180th day following the drawing.

Deadlines are extended for certain "eligible" military personnel.

Unclaimed prizes go to the state and the Texas Legislature will authorize which programs will get the funds.
