Mike Conaway Introduces Legislation to Extend I-14 To Midland-Odessa

The proposed I-14 corridor to connect East Texas to West Texas has taken many turns, but Mike Conaway is hoping to get legislation in place to get the interstate to begin in Midland/Odessa.

According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, Conaway will propose the road to begin in western Ector County and share i-20 to the Garden City Highway exit in Midland where it will then head toward Brady via State Hwy 158 and U.S. 87 passing through San Angelo along the way.

That would provide direct routes to San Antonio and Corpus Christi from the point in Brady.

Conaway introduced the legislation last week.
