Midland’s New Tommy Franks Elementary is Ready to Welcome a New Era

General Tommy Franks Elementary, formerly Crockett Elementary, is set to open and begin a new history for the school that has been an under performer for the past few years.

According to NewsWest 9, it's a new school year so that means it's a new start not only for students but also for the faculty of the new General Tommy Franks Elementary.

The goal: to begin a new history of success that eluded the old Crockett Elementary over the past several years.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will be held at the school on Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 9:00 a.m.
