Green Acres Miniature Golf Course east of Midland is getting the go-ahead to begin redeveloping.

According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, Planning and Zoning commissioners approved a zone change so Green Acres could begin their redevelopment.

The owners of the area that the old Green Acres was located have submitted a plan for two lots.

The eastern lot will be used as a miniature golf course and the western lot will be used for various things including a 3,000 square foot arcade area, a 750 square foot golf building, and a splash pad on the north side of those areas.

Plans for a later date include an outdoor amphitheater along the north end of the western lot and five shade structures designed for a picnic area along the western part of the property.
