Midland Teen Headed to Dallas to Audition for ‘The Voice’

A Midland teen is set to go to auditions happening in Dallas next month in hopes to make it on the stage for next season's run of "The Voice."

According to NewsWest 9, the teen's name is Loni Young and she is currently a sophomore at Midland High and has been singing since the age of eight.

She auditioned for "America's Got Talent" when she was 12 but ultimately decided not to seek the national spotlight at that time and just compete locally.

Loni will be travelling to Dallas with her mother on May 12 and auditions for "The Voice" will be held on May 13.
