Midland Sheriffs Office to Begin Using Pepper Gas Guns
Midland Sheriffs Office is going to begin to use pepper gas guns to specify a target instead of spreading the pepper spray to those surrounding the targeted person.
According to NewsWest 9, the new pepper gas guns are reportedly three times stronger than pepper spray and can target a single person and put them down for about an hour.
This prevents when a pepper spray is used from surrounding people including the person administering the spray from being affected as well as the target.
Sheriff Gary Painter says the pepper guns will be used in place of tasers or pepper spray.
The Midland County Sheriffs Office started using the guns this week.
