Midland Residents Show Up to School Board Meeting About Lee Name Change

The name change was not on the agenda, but residents showed up anyway to protest the change of Lee High School.

According to NewsWest 9, Monday's school board meeting was as packed as it could be during the COVID-19 pandemic because residents wanted to make their side of the issue known about the Lee High School name change.

Some liked the new name proposed, others wanted a big change to the name, but no matter which side they were on, they wanted to make their voice known.

The school board will not make a vote about the name change until October 19, 2020.
