Midland Memorial Hospital Conducting an Active Shooter Drill Thursday Afternoon

If you are around the hospital today and see some suspicious activity, it is just a drill to keep Midland Memorial Hospital ready for an active shooter situation.

According to NewsWest 9, there will be a heavy police presence this afternoon (05/04/17) around Midland Memorial Hospital, but don't worry it is just an active shooter drill.

It will be happening about 1;30 this afternoon at the entrance of the hospital on Illinois Ave. and Midland County Sheriff's office wants to let the public know it is nothing to be concerned about.

Midland County Hospital Police, Midland County Emergency Management, Crane Police, Midland Health Department and Midland Fire Department will all be in attendance for the drill.
