Not only is the group a collector of various rocks and gems from all over the world, but it is what they do to help people out that matters.

According to NewsWest 9, in their workshop they work with rocks from all over the world as well as some that come from our own area.

Besides the craft of making items from the rocks and gems, their workshop is also a place of therapy.

"I'm a veteran and I wasn't in a good place," said club member Jim Jellyman. "It helped me a whole lot and it was therapy for me so now I come down here, I lock the doors, I put my headphones on, turn music on, and I just disappear. The world doesn't know I exist. I don't even know I exist so it's just so great."

Their upcoming show will feature some of the items the members have made and will be happening in the new Bush Convention Center in Downtown Midland November 2 from 9 am-6 pm and November 3 from 10 am to 5 pm.
