Midland County Purchasing New Election Equipment For Upcoming Election

Midland County Commissioners on Monday, October 8, 2018 approved the purchase of over $1 million of new election equipment to be put in place by the upcoming November midterm election.

According to NewsWest 9, the interface of the system will look the same as the old system that has been in place for over 15 years, except the operating system will be much more efficient and up to date with current technology.

.The big difference will be that the new system will have a paper slip that voters can see their selections before making their vote final and then will re-insert the slip once they have verified their vote is correct.

All polling locations in Midland County will have the new system in operation by the election on November 6, 2018.
