The cameras will help in the effort to end the illegal dumping crisis.

According to NewsWest 9, Midland County Commissioners approved the purchase of $4,000 of equipment to catch people who are dumping illegally in Midland County.

“We’re going to take a look at what can be done to preserve, protect our groundwater and to try to help folks with man camps, if you will, to comply with the rules of the state and the needs of the county,” says Midland County Judge Terry Johnson.

The 30 new trail cameras are expected to be installed and operational by the end of April.
