Midland City Council Approves New Hotel For Downtown

MDC has city council approval for a new hotel in downtown Midland.

According to NewsWest 9, the new full-service hotel will have 200 rooms.

The only hotel in downtown Midland is the Doubletree by Hilton and adding another hotel will increase events to the new Bush Convention Center.

The estimated cost of the project is $65 million with $20.6 million from MDC and $44.4 million from the developer.

Construction could be done as soon as the end of 2020.
