Dude, Spider-Gwen must have one heck of an agent. She’s getting her in everything these days. Spider-Gwen (or “Ghost Spider,” if we want to get technical) was just featured in the latest trailer for Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, the fall’s big animated Spidey movie and now she’s front and center in the trailer for Marvel Rising: Initiation, a prequel series of shorts to an animated movie that’s premiering in the fall called Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors.

The premise of the shorts and the eventual film is following the next generation of Marvel heroes as they come together as a team. The group includes Spider-Gwen (voiced by Dove Cameron), Quake (Chloe Bennet, who played Quake on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), Squirrel Girl (Milana Vayntrub), Patriot (Kamil McFadden), and Ms. Marvel (Kathreen Khavari).

A bit more on the show, from Entertainment Weekly:

‘Marvel Rising is a big storytelling celebration of the next generation of Marvel heroes, for the next generation of Marvel fans,’ says Marvel editor Sana Amanat, a co-executive producer on Marvel Rising who also co-created the Kamala Khan incarnation of Ms. Marvel in 2014. ‘Over the last few years at Marvel, we’ve seen this huge growth in new types of characters, a younger generation of heroes that has brought in a new cast of Marvel fans. These characters are true to what the Marvel Universe is about, while also being truly reflective of the world outside your window.’

The Marvel Rising: Initiation shorts premiere on Disney XD on August 13; the full Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors film follows in the fall. The Marvel Rising Comic-Con panel is Thursday at 3:15PM so we could get even more news then.
