The March for Our Lives gun control group that was born out of the February 14 massacre at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School may have just accumulated some weaponry that's far more powerful than any firearm: the support and assistance of Scooter Braun and George Clooney.

TMZ reports that while it was investigating the group's merchandising and sales, it accidentally uncovered the fact that Scooter Braun — manager to Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande and more of today's biggest pop stars — is in some sort of managerial position for the group. But TMZ adds that Braun was adamant about keeping his name away from headlines so that the focus remains on the brave students who are canvassing in the name of gun control.

The site adds Clooney, who has donated $500,000 to the organization, is also working behind the scenes to embolden the group, and is even recruiting friends in high places — like Braun — to help March of Our Lives thrive. Clooney, though, denies the claims, in what TMZ has likely insisted is a similar move to keep the attention on the students.

"Amal and I fully support the students of Marjory Stoneman Douglas.  We've donated money to help pay for their march.  But the march and all of the activities surrounding this movement belong to the you people across the country," he told TMZ. "To suggest anything else would not only be completely inaccurate but also undercut the courage and determination of these incredible kids. They make me proud to be an American."

March for Our Lives, which is planning a nationwide movement on March 24, says its purpose is to prevent a single additional mass shooting in the United States, according to the mission statement on its website.

"March For Our Lives is created by, inspired by, and led by students across the country who will no longer risk their lives waiting for someone else to take action to stop the epidemic of mass school shootings that has become all too familiar," the site reads. "In the tragic wake of the seventeen lives brutally cut short in Florida, politicians are telling us that now is not the time to talk about guns.  March For Our Lives believes the time is now."
