A safe haven for those victimized by sexual and domestic abuse has re-opened in the Permian Basin.

According to NewsWest 9, the Lilah Smith Safe House has re-opened thanks to volunteers and funds provided by different entities.

Lilah's Safe House serves the counties of Pecos, Terrell, Ward, Crane, and Winkler and provides those seeking to get out of an abusive relationship a place to stay.

For security purposes the location of the facility is not being published, plus it has even more security inside the house to help protect those who are staying there.

If you need help or a place to stay to get out of an abusive relationship, you can contact them 24/7/365 on their hotline at 432.299.2285.
