Club-goers at East London's Moth Club experienced what may have at first seemed like a mirage Friday night (September 9) when Lady Gaga, the "Perfect Illusion" herself, turned up to deliver a surprise live performance in the small, intimate Hackney venue.

Gaga's brand new single made its live debut when the pop star took the stage after her friend and producer Mark Ronson warmed up the crowd with a nearly 2-hour DJ set, according to The Telegraph.

Wearing a pair of shimmery hot-pants, a gray crop top and black tape over her breasts, Gaga embodied the persona of an '80s rock star as she raucously performed "Perfect Illusion" live in front of fans for the first time.

The Artpop singer, who was introduced to the stage by British nightlife personality and drag queen Jodie Harsh, also performed a stripped-down rendition of her 2009 smash single "Bad Romance" on the keyboard, and danced as Ronson played her breakout single off The Fame, "Just Dance."

The Ronson-produced track, which premiered on September 9 on BBC Radio 1, is the lead single off Gaga's forthcoming, yet-untitled fifth studio album, which will also feature collaborations with Florence and the Machine's Florence Welch and Beck.

Lady Gaga's fifth album is expected to be released in late 2016 or early 2017.
