Jenna Bush Hager was back in Midland and back at Trinity School where she was a student just a couple of decades ago.

According to NewsWest 9, Ms. Bush Hager was in town to talk to the students about charitable work.

The kids have just finished their Cans for Charities project where they collected aluminum cans and sold them to raise money for local charities in Midland.

Bush Hager was there to talk about the importance of charity work and to inspire the kids with her story of giving back throughout her life.

Her experiences resonated with everyone including a student who learned it is never too late to help out and also to help out anytime you get a chance.

Trinity School raised $9,000 and was split up between three Midland charities, The Breaking Bread Soup Kitchen, The Field's Edge, and Casa de Amigos.

Students said raising the money was fun and competitive which is one reason they raised so much money.
