The most hated food in Texas really does suck. Realizing that it's also something Texans totally LOVE, I decided to draw some good/bad food comparisons of my own.

Curious to see what food Texans absolutely, totally freaking hate ... honestly, I have too much free time on my hands ... I was surprised to find that it's something that I too despise. It's something I and my fellow Texans also really, really love. Steak.

What Texan could pass up a thick, juicy rib eye? Or T-bone. How about a New York ...errr, sorry; TEXAS Strip? Whatever cut is preferred, steak is easily one of the most popular foods in the lone star state. Make it well done though and the dog gets it.

That interesting juxtaposition between really tasty and totally sh***y for a single item brought to mind a few other things that I'm like that with. Starting with steak. I totally agree - medium is preferable, medium well TOPS. Otherwise, toss it.

Same exact item but a different approach ruins it. For me, the same goes for these things:

The same kinda' goes for beer. There are hundreds, thousands maybe, types of beer out there. I like about 4 of them. 1 hands down favorite, my beloved Coors Light. It's got a commanding lead followed, grudgingly, by a couple of "ok, if that's all you got" brands all knotted up in 2nd place. There's no 3rd ... liquor comes into play at that point.

Not shots, I'll do tequila shots and Vegas Bombs anytime; I'm talking mixed drinks here.
