TSA Reporting Longer Wait Times At Midland Air And Space Port
Flying out of Midland, Texas, is often a coin toss on whether or not the ordeal will go smoothly. Most people want a quick, seamless, and hassle-free experience through the standard TSA checkpoint in order to board their flight. However, that is not always the case for numerous reasons.

It was reported Thursday afternoon on MIASP's social media that one of the machines that assists with security is currently down. There are other machines to help get passengers through the TSA checkpoint, however, the result of one of the machines being down may result in longer wait times.
Currently, there has not been a declaration that the time spent getting through the TSA security check will take longer than usual, but they are warning that it is possible. They are still suggesting that passengers on any outbound flight arrive at a minimum of 2 hours early in order to avoid any possible delays.
The Facebook post did not specify what exactly the issue was or how long it would take to repair the machine, however, this warning was just to communicate the possible longer wait times. They also assured passengers that they will update the status of the machine when more updates come about.
