This is the time of the year when many Texas retail locations start adding season employees for the upcoming holidays, and yes sometimes those season jobs are the doorway to a permanent placement within the company and allow for major career growth. Also, as we approach the end of a calendar, many start looking ahead to not just the new year, but also begin considering their long term goals which are often influenced by how much money and opportunity your current job can offer.

As a father of 3 small children who's appetites will only grow exponentially in the coming years, I have often joked about pursuing a career in either the food service or grocery industries. I do not know exactly what kind of additional benefits or employee discounts are offered, but you will always know when a popular food item is on sale, and be able to take advantage of those type of opportunities.
With a starting pay of $23 per hour, that projects to the mid to upper $40's per year depending on overtime and/or bonuses, and again that is just the starting pay. From there most reasonable employees could expect review, promotional, and pay raise opportunities.

Additionally, based upon people I have known personally to be employed by Aldi, no college is required for many of the positions.
