This Is When You Turn Your Texas Clocks To New Fall Time
Sometimes it feels like the Texas summer never ends, especially as we are transitioning out of false fall into summer 2.0, or however you describe our brief fling with 50 something degree mornings that topped out below the 90 degree mark for the daytime high. As we head into another weekend on the tail end side of the calendar from Labor Day, much of Texas is bracing for another line dance with near triple digit temperatures when all we really want is our hoodies and an earlier sunset.

Now, you can blame this rebound heat wave on Texas being Texas, but I would personally like to shift the blame to Hurricane Francine not making a bigger impression, or depression, on our climate. By no means am I ever going to complain about not being struck by a hurricane, but a little extra cloud cover, needed rain, and cooler breeze would be a great way to combat the likelihood of a 100 degree day over the weekend.
If you are pining for all things fall like harvest and pumpkin festivals, bonfires, crockpot chili, and let's not forget haunted houses, then you will be pleased to know that Daylight Saving Time is ending pretty soon.

Daylight Saving Time beginning or ending is kind of like Christmas eve because you are not likely to be awake when it happens, but Santa will change your clocks for you just like he deposits gifts under the tree. We fall back on November 3rd, so you should be able to get plenty of rest before election day on Tuesday the 5th.
