Texas Girl Scout Cookie Season 2026: New ‘Exploremores’ Flavor
It's Girl Scout cookie season in Central Texas. The cookies are bought by many people in the state, and we all have our favorites. But, are there any new cookies that a Texan could try?
When Did Girl Scout Cookies Become An Item People Could Purchase?
According to My Neighborhood News, 1917 was the year that the program for Girl Scout cookies began. Four years later, in the year of 1921, Central Texas saw its first troop appear in the area, with the total number of girls in the troop being 16. Central Texas also holds history for certain things as well.

Central Texas, in the year 1936, had the first all-black troop west of Mississippi. And in 1954, Camp Texlake was desegregated in the Central Texas area. Throughout the years, the Girl Scouts have been helping cause changes for good.

What Girl Scout Cookies Will Be Available This Year?
Per My Neighborhood News, the favorites will be available like Tagalongs and Trefoils. But, there's a new type available this year, known as Exploremores. It will be rocky road flavored, having marshmellow and crème that will taste like almond.
Leader of the program, Wendy Lou, said the following:
“Girl Scout Cookie season is always a moment of joy and tradition, and this year promises to be incredibly exciting...With every purchase, consumers directly support local Girl Scouts' abilities to explore more opportunities in STEM, the outdoors and more.”
