I must admit the bluebonnet is a beautiful flower, even if it wasn’t the state flower, but I have to stress to Texans that taking pictures with that could be very dangerous. According to Lytle Veterinarian Clinic when you’re thinking about where to sit and position yourself when wanting to take a photo of bluebonnets, there could be anything from prickly plants, ants, and even snakes, quietly camouflaging in the bluebonnets.

MAKE SURE TO SEE BEFORE YOU SIT!

Remember that rattlesnakes are out around this time of the year and these silent killers like to hide in flowers. If you are anything like me, you don’t deal with any type of creepy crawlers, especially not snakes and to make matters worse the rattlesnake is one of the most venomous snakes in Texas. Sometimes you have to ask yourself is it worth it? If you’re going to take Bluebonnet pictures this year, thoroughly check the surroundings before taking your photo it could save your life. A snake could be watching your every move and you couldn't see the strike of it coming.
