President Joe Biden is entering his social media troll era on Truth Social, the controversial social media platform owned by indicted former president Donald Trump.

Biden's account, Biden HQ, is being run by his campaign ahead of his 2024 re-election campaign.

"Well. Let's see how this goes. Converts welcome!" Biden's first Truth Social post, shared Monday (Oct. 16), reads.

Biden campaign officials told Fox News they are "injecting our message" on Truth Social in an attempt to combat misinformation about Biden.

Campaign officials also said joining the platform was an attempt to meet "voters where they are," though they stressed "there's very little 'truth' happening on Truth Social."

"Republicans can’t even agree on a Speaker of the House, so clearly, not every Republican thinks the same," a campaign official told Fox News.

Officials said they intend to hold "MAGA accountable on their own platform," noting a video Biden posted to his Twitter account showing Republican presidential candidate Nikki Haley attacking Trump.

A spokesperson for Trump released a scathing statement to Fox News after Biden joined Truth Social.

"Crooked Joe Biden and his team are finally acknowledging that Truth Social is hot as a pistol and the only place where real news happens," spokesperson Steven Cheung said.

"Unfortunately for Biden, his continuation of spreading misinformation to gaslight the American people in order to distract from his disastrous record won’t work and they’ll be ratioed to oblivion," he added.
