I bet there’s a good chance most Texans are familiar with the strangest roadside attraction in the Lone Star State. You’ve probably seen it with your own eyes. If not, it would make an excellent addition to your road trip bucket list.

Reader’s Digest Picks a Surprising Landmark

When I came across Reader’s Digest’s list of the strangest roadside attraction in each state, I figured Cadillac Ranch outside of Amarillo would make the list. Much to my surprise, that was not the case.

Instead, the author chose to go with the Eiffel Tower in Paris. Admittedly, it was a pretty cool choice and one I probably never would have guessed. If you think about it, there’s no shortage of strange roadside attractions in Texas.

Visiting the Paris, Texas Landmark

Built in 1993 as an homage to the Eiffel Tower in the more famous French city of the same name, you’ll notice the three-and-a-half-foot-tall red Stetson hat on the top to give it a bit of Texas flair. The tower is open to the public, 24 hours a day, year-round. It won’t cost you a dime to pay it a visit, and it isn’t usually very busy.
