It's TODAY, you don't have a dollar in your pocket, and you're already on thin ice with your partner. What the heck can you even do to save yourself at this point?

The right person will love you whether you have the cash or the flowers to celebrate the day. You can show someone how much you love them for FREE. Actions are worth way more than anything else. Here are some easy ways to show someone how much you love and appreciate them that won't cost you a dime.

1. Clean the house! Get in there and scrubadub all the things you have both been putting off for MONTHS. Make it look like you hired a maid service. Hell, lie and say you did! Just get it spic and span in there. They will appreciate it. I promise.

2. Wash their car! You don't have to go to a car wash to do it. I know it's a little cold outside, but you're tough. Get out there with a sponge and the water hose and go to town.

3. Make dinner for them. It doesn't have to be anything fancy. Hamburger Helper and a scoop of ice cream. Just make it for them without being asked.

4. Draw them a bath and throw some bubbles in the tub! If you're lucky, maybe they will even invite you in...you never know.

5. Write them a heartfelt note. Take your time. Tell them what they mean to you. If you're a poet, maybe throw a poem in there too! They will keep it forever in their secret box of special things under the bed.

I hope you have a wonderful Valentine's Day and that you keep in mind what's truly important. It's not about fancy gifts, wine, steak, jewelry, none of that. It's about love.
