A Paris, Texas man has recently confessed to pouring gasoline into his infant daughter's mouth. Edgar James Bridgemon, of Paris, Texas, is  charged with attempted capital murder. He he intentionally fed his 4-month-old daughter gasoline this past Saturday to try to kill her. Fox 4 News reported the following from Paris Police Capt. Terry Bull

"It was revealed that this man, in fact, fed his infant gasoline with the intent of doing the child harm,"  "The reason we were actually able to place him under arrest at the time was his confession."

The infant is currently being treated and recovering at Children’s Medical Center in Dallas, where she is improving. The mom of the infant, who did not want to be named believes this was in retaliation for her not wanting to be in a romantic relationship. This is developing story.

Bridgemon is being cooperating and has completed at least two interviews with investigators. He is being held in the Lamar County Jail on a $250,000 bond. Read the full story by clicking here.


Another Texas School District Approves Free Meals for All Students
The Victoria Independent School District has recently announced their participation in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program. The federally funded initiative is  aimed at providing free meals to students in eligible schools.
