Texas Town Tops List of Most Family-Friendly Destinations in USA

Texas wins again. I mean, we are the second most populous state in the nation. And we do have a lot of land mass over here in the Lone Star. So maybe we have advantages in our favor. Maybe it isn't fair to all the other states. But we'll take the wins, however they come.

From Oregon to Vermont, the family-friendly destinations listed below are hot spots for kids of all ages. If you're looking for a place to trek that will have a little something for everyone, check out these popular locales.

Salem, Oregon

Famous for it's annual Cherry Blossom Festival, Salem sits in the Willamette Valley, a premier region for wine production. With its proximity to the Cascade Mountains, the area provides plenty of access to outdoor recreation.

San Luis Obispo, California

With its natural beauty, pedestrian-friendly downtown, and a Bubblegum Alley that would sufficiently distract Buddy the Elf, SLO (as known to locals) could be a terrific place to visit for your next family vay-cay.

Virginia Beach, Virginia

It's all right there in the name. If you're wanting a beach getaway, Virginia has it. Along with the Virginia Beach Boardwalk and other attractions, you can easily coast into a fun family outing.
