Ice Skating Rink in Downtown Midland Could Happen For the Holidays

The holidays are fast approaching and Midland residents might not have to go to New York to enjoy an outdoor ice skating rink.

According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, the Very Merry Midland celebration is scheduled for a second year in downtown Midland and this year it could include an outdoor skating rink.

The celebration is scheduled for December 2-23 and the temporary ice rink is planned for the plaza at the Bank of America tower on the corner of Big Spring and Wall Streets.

There will be a public hearing and vote to approve the request for the temporary ice rink at tomorrow's city council meeting.
