Governor Greg Abbott Signs Ban on ‘Sanctuary Cities’

The ban on "Sanctuary Cities" became law over the weekend.

According to NewsWest 9, now police officers can ask if a person is in the country legally on any routine traffic stop and take them in if they cannot provide proper documentation that they are legally in the U.S.

The bill has been opposed across the country but is now officially a law in Texas.
