Girl Scout cookie season is upon us and getting those cookies are now going to move into the 21st century by being available through GrubHub.

According to CBS 7, if you are in Odessa and want to get those Girl Scout cookies but don't want to get out, you can now get them on your app.

Vanessa Bustamante was the top seller of Girl Scout cookies in the Girl Scout Troops of the Desert Southwest region which covers the Midland/Odessa area.

Bustamante is trying to maintain her status as top seller by using the popular food delivery app to get her cookies out this year.

“I think that technology has really helped because, like Venmo, a lot of people don’t really carry cash anymore, so that’s a big step up. And we also started using GrubHub as a delivery service for girl scout cookies,” said Bustamante.

Staying on top of things during a pandemic has been a challenge, but Bustamante says she has great expectations for this Girl Scout cookie season.

“I’ve had business cards for a few years, so people who already have my number will continue to call me like every year to see if I still have some,” said Bustamante.

They will also set up a drive-thru cookie event at Parks Legado Town Center this coming Saturday, February 13, 2021.

Girl Scout cookie selling season this year will run through March 14, 2021.
