With COVID-19 cases spiking in the area, Ft. Stockton ISD will go to virtual learning beginning the Monday after Thanksgiving.

According to NewsWest 9, students had the option of being in-person or virtual, but now they have made the decision to go all virtual after the Thanksgiving break till December 18, 2020.

The schedule will return to normal after winter break on January 12, 2021.

The concern for students and staff is the main reason for the decision to go all virtual till  the new year.

Students in Ft. Stockton will receive curbside meals and their extra curricular activities will be continued over that time as well.

FSISD recommends for all students and staff to check the district's social media channels and the website for more updates.
