Today (February 27) is National Pancake Day and IHOP is celebrating by offering free pancakes today.

According to the Midland Reporter-Telegram, from 7 a.m to 7 p.m. (and some locations 10 p.m.), IHOP is giving away free short stacks of pancakes in honor of National Pancake Day.

It is a part of the chain's 60 Days of Giving campaign to celebrate their 60th anniversary.

They are also asking for donations in any amount as a part of their 60 Days of Giving campaign to go to benefit charities that work to find cures for terminal diseases affecting children and families.

Some of the organizations that will receive the donations will be the Children's Miracle Network, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and Shriner's Hospital for Children.

In a statement, IHOP President Darren Rebelez said, "At IHOP, we think doing good is delicious. Every stack of pancakes we serve on our signature day counts toward helping our charity partners improve the health and lives of millions of children and families across the country."

Check your favorite IHOP location to see if they will be one of the locations extending the free pancakes till 10 p.m. tonight.
