Former Odessa High Player Featured in Super Bowl 51 Last Night

Marcus Cannon is a former OHS football player that got to play in the NFL's biggest game yesterday.

According to the NFL, Cannon went from OHS to Texas Christian University to play college football and was drafted in 2011 by the New England Patriots in the 5th round (138th overall) of the 2011 NFL Draft.

This was not Cannon's first rodeo in the big game, he was also with New England when they played Seattle in Super Bowl 49 and also came from behind to win 28-24.

Cannon was re-signed to a 5-year contract extension during the 2016 season.
