Fireworks Restrictions Placed on Both Midland and Ector Counties
Midland and Ector County Commissioners Court both voted in meetings held separately to ban two types of aerial fireworks for the upcoming 4th of July holiday.
According to NewsWest 9, the two banned fireworks are the types of fireworks that are missiles with fins and rockets with sticks.
That means anyone found either selling or using these types of fireworks will be subject to a Class C ticket and fines up to $500.
Also, a reminder that fireworks of any kind are illegal inside the city limits of both Midland and Odessa.
Fireworks sales in both counties will begin on June 24, 2018.
